Here's a later development of the last experiment, this time using a low-poly model, not just 3D primitives: http://www.vinsdojo.com/flashExperiments/3Dgrouch.html I think the difference will make sense once you see it (but it might take a while for the texture to load).
I've just started trying out Papervision3D, a set of building blocks for 3D programming in Flash. Here's an example: 3D Wacky Cylinders Speaking of Flash programming, did you see the Blogger browser I made and put on my website homepage? I used SWXml by Florian Plag as a starting point.
This is another of my old pictures that I uncovered recently, found to be horrible, and redid. So, uh, this is the good version, not the horrible version. It's not tightly rendered though, if you're into that kind of thing. At the moment I'm really liking keeping things loose.
I drew this on top of an old picture of mine that never quite came together. I left it pretty loosey-goosey, but I'm pretty happy with the lighting. Anyway, it would probably get worse if I tightened it up more.
"Donkey Carp" sounds like something from Pokémon, or maybe more like a typo. A good way to draw unexpected and stupid things is just to make a bunch of scribbles and then turn it into something.
Just a quick one, but I like it. I might come back to this one. Actually I found a bunch of old paintings I'd like to revisit, so I might work on those too.
