Illustration Friday: Unbalanced
This one's confusing if you don't know who Bill O'Reilly is. It's also confusing if you do know who Bill O'Reilly is but can't tell who this is (I don't think I'd be able to, now that I'm looking at it). And if you don't see that this is for the topic of "unbalanced" you might think I'm some right-wing guy glorifying Bill O'Reilly. And if you do see that the topic is "unbalanced" you might think I'm some left-wing guy accusing him (and perhaps by extension Fox News) of being not entirely "fair and balanced."
That last one is closest to the truth, but in fact, I don't actually spend much time thinking about Bill O'Reilly. Really, I was thinking of people who are psychologically unbalanced, and his was the first face that popped into my mind--go figure!

MI-5 2
I was watching more of MI-5/Spooks and right off the bat I saw another shot I wanted to draw. I made this a little more high key than the actual frame.
Drawing from TV/movies is a quick way to find interesting lighting, poses, etc. This is pretty fun, and I'll probably do more of these little sketches.

Outta Yer Chair!
I sit in my chair a lot, to be honest. Too much working, and it's been wrecking my poor defenseless body. I tried a few ergonomics programs, but most really aren't that great, so I made Outta Yer Chair!. It's a very simple application (PC only, sorry) that will remind you when you should stop working and stretch your horribly stressed back, legs, and whatever else.
Professor Hootsy's Guitar Explorer
Professor Hootsy Collins would love to take you on a tour of the jangling six-string in this application called Professor Hootsy's Guitar Explorer. As a guitarist myself, I hope finds favor with my guitar-slinging brethren and sistren. With P.H.G.E. one can explore the whole fretboard (righty and lefty), finding scales and chords, and actually playing the notes as well.
Mr. Toneface Man
Let Mr. Toneface Man serenade you! This is a simple little gadget that lets you listen to tones on command. Good for tuning instruments.

Face study
Going for kind of a Sebastian Krüger thing. Partially successful, I think! That guy can seriously paint though, you know what I'm saying?

Illustration Friday: Fast
And in keeping with the theme, I spent about 5 seconds on this Illustration Friday picture. Also in keeping with the theme I ate nothing while drawing it! Actually, do mints counts?

Illustration Friday: Frozen
I haven't done the Illustration Friday thing in a while, but, er, here's a sloppy and rushed one! I guess that's incentive for me to do a better job next time.
Wow, that must have been a speedy glacier, right?

Matryoshkas
Lots of 3D recently! This is me attempting some simple texturing and rendering of things, mostly for practice. The top render uses illustrations I drew, and the second uses illustrations from Utagawa Kuniyoshi (a guy from 19th century Japan). I wanted to do a bunch of matryoshkas that were all different characters - maybe I still will.
